Who can register .au domain names?

It depends on the type of Domain Name you are registering. AusRegistry manage the five “open” .au 2LDs (.com.au, .net.au, .org.au, .id.au and .asn.au). As well as the 2 “closed” .au (.edu.au, and .gov.au).
