AusRegistry Wins .au Tender

Melbourne, Australia - 18 November 2005

AusRegistry Pty. Ltd. today announced that it has been selected by the .au Domain Administration (auDA) to be the Registry operator (wholesale provider) for the .au domain space for a second term.

After a successful tender process AusRegistry has signed a four-year Registry Licence Agreement with auDA. This four-year period will commence on the 1 July 2006, after the current period expires on 30 June 2006.

Adrian Kinderis, Managing Director of AusRegistry, said, "We are extremely happy to have been selected for a second term as the Registry operator. AusRegistry has been able to demonstrate its skill in the provision of Registry services over the past four years. We are committed to further upgrades and improvement to the Registry, to continue to provide the worlds best Registry System and one that will best serve the Australian public over the term of the new Registry License Agreement."

Chris Disspain, CEO of auDA, said, "AusRegistry was re-awarded the Registry licence because of its superior technical & operational support, innovative marketing and education initiatives and its commitment to service excellence. As such, it's no surprise the majority of auDA accredited Registrars provided letters of support in AusRegistry's tender document."

During this four-year term, AusRegistry will be donating future profits of sales of org.au and asn.au domain names to select Internet user organizations and will also be providing all auDA accredited registrars with financial and administrative support (via its Marketing Subsidy Program) to educate Australian Internet users about the .au namespace.
