As the .au namespace prepares to celebrate its milestone 30th year in operation, AusRegistry has welcomed Cayman Islands-based Registrar Uniregistry as the latest addition to the .au channel.

Lead by domain name icon Frank Schilling, Uniregistry received its auDA accreditation in December 2015 and was onboarded by AusRegistry in early 2016.

Receiving accreditation from auDA allows Uniregistry to add .au domain names to the list of extensions it offers Registrants, along with its domain name transfer and security services.

AusRegistry explained that Uniregistry’s proven reputation in the industry fits well with .au’s trusted and secure image. is one of the 20 largest Registrars worldwide according to, with nearly 1.5 million domain names registered. The Registrar has doubled in size in less than a year.
